A generous room on the ground floor of a 16th-century building, with a window overlooking the entrance courtyard and a second facing the access path, forms the core of a minimal dwelling, where the essential functions of living are arranged. A new wall conceals the kitchen block and supports the table, adjustable to different heights depending on the use of the space. Wall niches and under-window recesses are used for storage, freeing up the space. The custom-made suspended bed occupies part of an adjacent alcove, defined by a large wardrobe wall. A restrained palette of materials, a limited number of furnishings and five ceiling-mounted spotlights shape this first experimental space exploring the theme of living.
